December 2025: Cover Reveals & ARCs
Plus end-of-year writing updates!
This month’s newsletter is a look at my latest writing updates, new cover art reveals, and the opportunity to participate in two ARCs!
2025 Year in Review
Future Present (Runebound Earth #4) released March 28, featuring another time travel adventure in the series. May saw the release of the Starthief Night (Sapphira #0.5) short story, with the first full-length novel in the series, Stardust Legend (Sapphira #1) launching in August. October turned into a panicked flurry where I wrote and released Starweb Grave (Sapphira #1.1), a Halloween-themed murder mystery short story.
Starthief Night and Starweb Grave (both standalones) are available as free bonus reads to subscribers. If you haven’t grabbed your copies yet, here is the link!
Writing Updates
River Burn (Runebound Earth #5) is still a work-in-progress, but coming soon in 2026. My writing process normally involves a healthy dose of chaos, but the last parts are now outlined, so the end is in sight.
Starseed Whispers (Sapphira #1.5) was completed earlier this year, and will come your way in the first half of 2026 as well. Originally intended to be a short story, it quickly morphed into a novelette packed with adventure and mystery.
Cover Art Reveals + ARC Opportunity
The adage is to never judge a book by its cover… but let’s be honest: we all judge books by their covers to some degree. I’ve known that, while pretty, my Runebound Earth cover art wasn’t genre-specific.
When my writing fell apart mid-year (does life ever go as expected?), it gave me the opportunity to embark on some changes in this series. I’ve been working with Deanna’s World Author Services to revamp and do a soft relaunch of the Runebound Earth series, leading up to the release of River Burn.
In combination with the new covers, you’re also invited to participate in an Advanced Reading Copy (ARC) opportunity! Whether you’re new to my books or an existing reader, I’d love to have you participate.
First up: Citizen 4473 (Runebound Earth #1) and Fractured (Runebound Earth #2)!
The story content hasn’t changed from the original version, but I did improve its flow by renumbering chapters to break up the extra-long ones. Yikes. Who let me do that? (Oh, right. It was me. I did that. My bad.)
New covers and ARC opportunities for Perfectly Imperfect and Future Present are coming in the new year.
Here are the beautiful new covers by Deanna’s World Author Services (with side-by-side of the old covers), followed by links to the ARCs. The ebooks on Amazon will be updated with the new covers soon, followed by the print versions.
Website & Logo
The website got a light revamp this year, mostly in appearance. There is more I want to do, but that will come later. I also have a logo now, which you can see on the cover reveal image above.
What Else?
Last month, I started writing end-of-week notes over on Substack. They’re not always directly related to writing, and more of whatever happens to be on my mind at the time. I’m cross-posting these on my Facebook page, if you prefer to read them there.
